Oil futures at a historical high, and climbing.
Speculative gold plays through the roof.
US Markets getting hammered.
Today’s trader has to act fast, and on the correct information. The Modern Stock Trader blog aims to break through the clutter of Wall Street, and analyze such financial decisions. The goal is to make you money.
The markets may be efficient as a whole, especially in the age of information. Prices on different securities are organic, constantly changing to new information as it is being reported. Wall Street is hectic. Money moves by the click of a button, instantly putting a stake of Grandma Millie’s expected retirement income in a paper asset. Power grids in California are turned off by extinct energy companies, once praised by the markets- now a criminal disaster, leaving thousands jobless.
What does all this mean?
The markets are risky, especially if you don’t know how to play the game. Luckily, there are tools out there that make these decisions easier. Sound financial decision making calls for homework. It calls for in-depth knowledge and interest about markets, securities, niche sectors, credit, debt, and equities.
Luckily for you, I already have to do this homework (no, seriously). My interest is to help my readers make sound financial decisions, especially in the trading markets. At times, I may argue with myself over certain theories, companies, or political issues. The goal is to point out the information that is necessary to become confident in your decisions, as you plan your financial future.
